Clieto 0.4 coils hidden Design Change - Update and further investigation into the change
So I posted last week suggesting that the coil design of the 0.4 Aspire Clieto coil had changed, and had changed for the worse. The old design is one of the best tasting coils out there, the new design is the worse. This likely accounts for the near 50/50 split on opinion of these coils, as there are 2 very different designs under the same packaging.
However, I am having a hard time getting Aspire to admit this. I have been in contact with my main vendor who contacted Aspire, and they have said Aspire insist that the design has not changed.
Well here is complete and absolute proof that the design HAS changed I decided to saw the two coils in half, and it is clear to see due to the change in the inner shield showing in the photos, the coil does not wick effectively, causing the inferior vape.
Please note, this is only regarding the standard Clieto coils at 0.4 resistance. I have not checked any other resistance, or the Clieto variants (EXO, 120, TC etc...)
I am going to ask my vendor to send these photos on to Aspire, but I wanted to ask if anyone here had contacts in Aspire who might be able to look at this post and provide some justification for changing the design, and also why they are so unwilling to admit it changed.
