Our First Trip

Feedback Received!

I remember the adventure we had,
where Lucidity Sang Delightfully
as our senses ran rampant through kaleidoscopes.
Trust tore through our pulsating fingers
as double the trouble hovered over our heads,
and our minds, twisted and bared together,
tripping along our thoughts and hearts
with nothing more than each other, to share.

Our star sat shining above, and gave
us all the light we needed so we could see
the underlying issues of society,
and ideas that we needed to progress through
to tomorrow and create a great new
and magnificently loving world…
but most importantly, our star gave us light
so you could find your damn keys, haha.
This way, you could drive us
to the soundtrack for the deaf and hover over
the rainbow road and connect ourselves
and find our engine.

We watched our dreams on the screen,
synthesized up and down with Julie and Candy.
Oh, the smiling laces, and bouncing beat,
they menacingly laughed and danced their faces,
then the branches hit our noses with anxiety
when you meet new people.
Closing in on ourselves and with time
warped in the mirror, looking at our death,
it tells us that our time was lost in the blink of a synth.

When we lied down, we shared the same bed.
We laughed and shared the same sight,
scrolling through jokes and cloaks.
Then, and just then, we saw each other for the first time.
And our blushing blood ran through our cheeks
as an eeriness surrounded, and your tongue began to speak,
and you said, oh boy you are so pretty!
At least, that’s what you would’ve said if you were Jeff.
But since you’re Kenny, you waited for me,
like a gentle giant with sweetness seeping
through your tender skin,
and I waited for you,
like a scared deer caught in the headlights
of your sight in my soul. We took out our tongues,
twice removed from our face,
across the creases and across the landscapes.
Sonic, tonic and harmless.
We once spoke, but now facing one another,
we couldn't even croak

But that’s okay, because we rested together
and we learned that Music Has the Right to Children,
and we heard the Alpha and Omega reach up
and come into the Dawn Chorus, and we slept there
until we woke up,
wondering,
what happened?
