The Analysts Daughter
Daughter born, different from the rest
a cuckoo, hatched to the wrong nest
Locomotive mind, oceanic depths
Voices aplenty, demons, mental pests
Parents beg the therapist for help
Daughter doesn't fit the commonwealth
She just isn't like the other whelps
Progress made at hiding her true self
Mama thinks how can this be
Progeny supposed to be just like me
Wonders if Papa's the key
But their girl differs from A to Z
Daughter knows she ain't like the others
Twisted thing hiding neath the covers
Alone, so she begged for brothers
But her folks wouldn't make another
Adults tell her she such a gem
Peers? School kids love to condemn
Not like she's doing this on a whim
Not like she wouldn't die to be just like them
Maybe they don't know any better?
Those lucky souls never put through the shredder
When they see different, they think leper
If that’s privilege, she’s a debtor
Older now, found some friends in the pit
Converting others out of societies fit
The teasing, the bullies, she'll never forget
Either cares too much, or doesn't give a shit
Her masks perfected, switched at will
She emphasizes with pathogens, never white blood cells
That cocky attitude? Just a shell
Rejection always hurts, exclusions fucking hell
Why such cruelty by those who belong
Violent fantasies, soon her favorite balm
Sometimes it doesn't seem so wrong
Might be nice if normalities gone
There she goes, putting cocaine in the water
There they go, lining up for slaughter
No ones knows, bout the analysts daughter
No one knows, but they ask about her

(First time poster, and this is the first time something's broken through my writers block in 5 years! Would love feedback, I rarely wrote poetry even back when I was writing all the time. Thanks!!)
