Driven
About my long ride let me tell thee
I haven't experienced plenty on my way to twenty
But my tanks were far from empty
A body full of energy and life
Solely guided by my drive
Around thirty I was thirsty for more
As if there was war
My heart pumped faster than ever before
I pushed the pedal to the metal
And at forty I still was in good fettle
At sixty I've been at many crossroads
And my limbs felt like heavy loads
Have I made the right decisions?
Have I followed the path of my vision?
I slowly began to doubt and thought about to reroute
Being at over eighty and somewhat shaky
My body wants to be lazy
The more you strive the more you feel alive
But I've red the signs
Soon I'll arrive
I love to ride my bike!
