Everything in Hell

I bought a fresh haddock carcass from the east of Merthyr Town
By the time I took it home it had already turned brown
I assumed it was just part of the natural process
Since there were no instructions on the back of the packaging
So I threw it in the back of the oven and put it on at around 150 degrees Celsius
And waited around twenty five minutes and completed a cryptic crossword
And I carefully took it out of the oven and the thing stunk rancid
But I assumed since it was dead it was bound to smell bad anyway
As I say there were no instructions on the back of the packaging
So if I do fall ill at least I can fall back on my medical insurance and claim compensation
So I took a bite and a bite was all it took
In fact the fatal mistake I made was the mistake of swallowing it
And that night my stomach punished my stupidity
And gave me incurable dysentery

And I woke up to the sound of the devil's glare
My crime apparently was uprooting a daffodil in my youth
Apparently that goes against 'thou shalt not kill' (who knew)
I wandered around for a while and honestly with Hell the clue is in the name
And everywhere I looked everything seemed to be the same
Everything I looked at seemed to be the same
And why? Because...
