I enjoy the honest despair that strikes out from start to finish.

I like the pace that each line reads, one after the other.

And because this is a very literal concept, it’s something pure and relatable. For me personally, it’s very true to human relationship.

I love the distress that turns into shear honesty from the subject to the personified object in this piece.

Great work.

Thanks for the feedback! I forget that, as the writer, I automatically know where to pause and how it reads in my mind. I've got to get better with punctuation. And yes, I see where "angst" might have been an unsettling word choice, but it's honestly the only word that fits what I mean to convey. I'm so glad that it wasn't a total turn-off, though; thank you for reading! Glad you liked it. :)

This struck me; I relate very much to the dilemma here. I can really feel the desperation. It feels personal. When I read it I feel as if I am encroaching on someone's deepest insecurities.

The only trouble I had with this is the lack of punctuation, which kind of stilted my understanding of what you were saying in my first read-through. I was slightly distracted trying to figure out where one thought ended and another began instead of just focusing on the words and the deep meaning of the poem.

Also, the word "angst", while appropriately used, I found a little jarring at first. I think this was due to all the connotation wrapped around it, since I'm not used to seeing it in a more serious context (teen angst). I will say though, after reading it a few times, I did warm up to it.
This got me thinking. Thanks for sharing.
