Detail: Ninian's sprite hair changed color?

Yeah, a lot of units’ alternates have updated sprites and slight colour changes to their hair (I guess to fit their new colour scheme or to match some of the artwork). Some notable ones I remember are V!Eliwood’s brighter and redder hair, Eiricav’s is greener, and heck even W!Robin is just a little bit more purple.

Yea, I've noticed that previously as well. In this case I found it weird though since it doesn't match her art. I had to do a double take while scrolling through datamine assets.

Dang, you’re right it doesn’t match the art at all. I thought it would be a case where the sprite was made separate from the art like Maria’s (details on dress differs greatly between the art and sprite) but that doesn’t make sense in this case. I think the discrepancy probably has to do a lot about Enkyo Yuichiro’s super bright colour schemes. I looked at Soleil and H!Nowi and their sprite colours don’t match up with the vividness of Enkyo’s art. My best guess is that while Enkyo makes the portraits, the sprite still have to keep that natural “fire emblem” scheme to match other units in the battlefield and that’s why Ninian/Soleil/Nowi were tuned down.

You could be right yea. Enkyo's art has that "cotton candy" feel to it, which might be hard to replicate in sprite.

Maybe, a lot of Alts have different hair color, Brave Roy ir a brighter orange, Eirika is more pale
I found it interesting, since B!Ninian's hair in the art is actually a bolder blue than the originals. Instead they reverted to a pale green.
