Uncertainty

Have you seen it?

only heard of it

I don't believe in fables

I believe it's just a myth.

Lights flashing

well-dressed guests

sitting against the walls

ready to jump

beneath the disco ball.

Take position

motion towards the crowd

mingle with the crows

they'll likely go for it too.

Deafening tumult

suddenly the room darkened

one instant went by

the next my eyes were numb.

An air of freshness hit the room

apparition at the side

of an interesting black swan.

---

Instincts drives me forward

uncertainty pulls me back

shockingly standing I lost my chance

to fulfill my burning dream.
