My Little Maple Seed
#My Little Maple Seed
I, the maple tree am grown
Though I stand high, I stand alone
A tall witness of many Mays and Decemebers
Longing to bestow my knowledge before my final winter
From season to season I nurture you
Your pod swells, becoming harder to subdue
Never fear the sun's descent
I swear to feed you 'til my last sugar's spent
Listen hard child and listen well
For in short time you will rappel
But before you leave my branch and spring
I grant you this gift, a guiding wing
Nature's breath plucks you to my dismay
My legacy catches wind and sails away
Hopefully you land further than my extended leaves
Blooming to heights I could never achieve
No storm sways me like when you succeed
Because I know inside of you, lies a part of me
My little maple seed
I sell this poem (my poem) as an art canvas with a beautiful photo as the background on my new site. Would look great on your wall.
