2.5 Mp Unplayable, pls help

Hello there! As the title says, multiplayer is pretty much brown bread for me currently and I need to figure out what it is I can do to rectify this.

Ever since 2.5 and perhaps even 2.0 multiplayer has been awful for me, it frequently crashes, stutters like mad from time to time and takes forever for me to even get to choosing my aircraft in lobbies because clicking on the screen causes it to crash... Single player for the most part runs alright but still has the stuttering (settings are at medium for both).

I'm running off an HDD with 12GB of RAM and I've seen others saying they got major improvements moving to an SSD and upping their RAM so I've been considering investing but ultimately don't want to waste my money if it won't help.

Any advice from you guys would be appreciated!

CPU: i7 4820k @ 3.7GHz GPU: GTX 1070 RAM: 12GB DDR3

Also reinstalled the game completely today.

SSD and 16GB RAM is basically minimum if you want to do MP since 2.5 buggered the role select screen. Try setting preload to 60,000 or less too.

Role select isn't really buggered, its just killing your CPU while loading everything as fast as possible, making your mouse unresponsive. More threads could help here...

I'm not sure what minimum specs you're thinking about, and while 12GB is slightly low it's a lot better than 8.

On the steam page, MP minimum specs is 32GB, which is what I think he's referring to.

Minimum is 16gb, recommended is 32 for MP

Tried overclocking? If you have a decent cooler try clocking a bit. Might help since that base freq is quite low. I mean that's why people buy K models right ? And also moving to SSD should help alot with initial loading of data ingame and help with stuttering.
