yes, you may be startling, bright
and gone as quick as you came
but i am never far behind you

just when you think the dust has settled
when the finale is done
when you feel like your last word
is the final word
& the only word that truly
deeply
really fucking matters:

i am rumbling
i am roaring from deep within my gut
i will not fall upon deaf ears
and i will not be forgotten
