Being Bored

Fighting for focus, tempted by sight and sound.

Struggling to sit still, no less boredom bound.

Attention waivers as the mind will wander.

Thoughts scramble while you wonder and ponder.

Thinking and linking ideas to place.

Hurriedly creating at a frantic pace.

Intention, impression, concept, or belief.

Come crashing in with no respite or relief.

Discord and harmony balance it out.

Calming cacophony without any doubt.

When it’s all over and you’ve come to pause.

A new thought arrives to forget what was.
