Suggestions for a Tyranids list
I am not a hard core competitive player, but I'm looking to improve so that I can go to bigger tournaments and do well enough to enjoy myself. Tyranids have been my favorite army since started in 3rd edition, so I'd appreciate any help that any of you can offer in crafting a well tuned list.
I'm going to provide what I currently have for a list and then include EVERYTHING I own to help with suggesting changes. Everything is painted in the same scheme so I cannot run multiple hive fleets.

As for other models I own...
another flyrant, scything talons and venom cannon
A swarmlord
3 tyrant guard
A tervigon (though even i realize they are overcosted)
enough Genestealers to run 3 full squads of 20
At least 30 hormagants
30 termagantus with fleshborers, 12 with devourers, enough bits to convert more
6 warriors with scything talons and deathspitters, 1 with venom cannon
another 3 ripper swarm bases
6 raveners, scything and rending
9 shrikes (god I wish these got a codex entry)
another trygon prime
a custom sculpted mawloc from before GW had a kit out for them
A carnifex with venom cannon and barbed strangler (Yes I know this hasn't been a legal configuration for a long time.)

You can absolutely run different hive fleets as long as there is a way to determine the difference between them, i.e painted rims on bases or even aftermarket unit markers. You can get creative with it but try to make it obvious so your opponent isn't trying to guess which is which.
That being said just shooting from the hip and a quick glance if you can make that second detachment Kronos it helps a lot. Especially with the hive guard rerolling ones and the mines from the biovores able to deny psychic tests with the stratagem.
Swarmlord is INVALUABLE if youre bringing genestealers because of his hive commander. Broodlords sadly are just not that great for his points even though he makes your genestealers even more bad ass. Just my two cents.
Oh my, that's hysterical
