13,645 fans? They're not selling out for the final now? Am I missing something?
A large percentage of fans were college kids. Once school was done their attendance went from sellout to around 12k. Combined with a 30+ degree weekend, and people aren't going to sacrifice their limited weekends to stay in the city. For a city our size we are still outselling teams with double or triple our population.
It's summer. People are gone on vacation and to the lake. They started the season later this year so they didn't overlap so much with the other field lacrosse league. It was still a hot house.
It may not have been a sellout, but holy frigging crap it felt like the lid was blown off Sask (insert whichever license it is now) place tonight!
I had earplugs and my ears were ringing after. Rush Nation brought it last night.
Crazy crazy fun game. People who don't go are missing out on a fun time.
There's a professional sports team dynasty based in Saskatoon!
That's wild, I never really considered that before. The NLL has had just three dynasties in its history, and we are one of them.
Major sports networks are missing out on the NLL. TSN has pretty much zero hockey outside of Jets games and the WJHC. Why not show a weekly lacrosse game?
Final should’ve been on national TV.
Too busy showing dog shows and spelling bees I guess.
If you ever have the chance to catch lacrosse while visiting a different city, do it! Even if the rush aren't playing. I've been to games in Saskatoon, Toronto, Buffalo and went to game 2 in Rochester. Every fanbase has some unique chants, and things they do after goals, or at a penalty.
Bet you they didn’t party as hard as Ovie... I think he is still drunk and partying.
Four day bender.
Do douchebags still pretend like they are somebody whenever they have a game?
Who hurt you?
Lol wut
All the fucking popped collar retards taking limos out to the games?
Get enough people and it’s cheaper than a cab.
Meow
I’m sorry you’re poor
Great game. Great crowd. Great team.
Celebration at the Bes gardens tomorrow at 11am
