You kind of hit it right on.  I wrote this in my early twenties, so it came from a young man's perspective. I may very well feel differently in another twenty years.  Thank you for reading and I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

I think this was cool to read because it kind of bends all over itself; the future is out in front, but every today is yesterday's future, so the past is also out in front... and in fact, basically every time in history that has ever came is the past, present, and future of something. 

I liked the bits about months being left behind -- I feel like that's been true to my experience growing. So many things feel really important right now and like they'll never end, but even something as monumental seeming as a month eventually gets left behind as we hit the year -- and in an entire life we only get a few of these decades; so few of the things we place significance on will actually turn out to have any meaning.

In the spirit of turning in on itself -- is time the enemy? Maybe it seems like it to someone young or in middle age, contemplating death, but I think that as these "losses" build up, that becomes less true. What if we didn't die? That we just grew progressively older and more de

Today was once tomorrow.

With yesterday still to come.

The future's out in front by far.

But the past already won.

The days become the weeks.

but months they leave behind.

The year is what they reach.

But decade's all they find.

This war will last forever,

With each battle in the mind.

Each loss will stand together,
