I drove a barren road,

Seeing nothing but my destination.

Today...

I passed a homeless man,

Seeing in me no hesitation.

Today...

I ignored a broken car,

Seeing an obstacle in my way.

Today...

I sat in traffic,

Seeing only my delay.

Today...

I ran through a stop sign,

Seeing nothing but my need.

Today...

I may as well have been blind,

Seeing with eye focused on me.
