A Genocide of Roses
I hate red Roses
They remind me
Of something
I’ll never have.
The dots of crimson
Which paint the fields
Inspires complete anger
I took in my hands
A blade to cut them down
With precision as to
Avoid the beautiful weeds
which suffocates them
I want them all to
die
A ceaseless genesis
Of red roses
Makes an endless task
They refuse to die,
The sight of them
Causes me great pain
I bet they laugh at me
And taunt me
With their delicate petals
Dancing in the wind
Should I pave the field
In a concrete blanket
Remove all life from it
An absolute desolation
Or should I continue
This useless fight
I hate red Roses
Why do they have to exist
I must kill them all
All except for one
The black rose
In the center of the field
I’ll let that one grow,
And consume all
