THE GAME OF LIFE

When Life throws me a curve ball,
I'll throw that sucker back!
And try as fiercely as I can
To give It one good whack!
'Cause I'm not gonna sit here
And let Life make me blue.
I won't just squat and mope around.
I'll tell you what I'll do.

As soon as I can catch my breath
From having hit the ground,
I'm getting up and dusting off
'Cause I ain't staying down.

And surely I'll get hit again
'Cause Life can be a bitch.
But I'll get right back up again.
I won't stay in the ditch.

Again! Again! I'll get back up.
'Cause I'm not giving in.
So Life can keep on tossing balls.
Because It will not win.

For when time's up, the Umpire's nod
Will put an end to all.
And that is when The Reaper comes
And makes Life cede the ball.
