So is Blue Fire a phoney?
Considering he is using a flame thrower and Garou ripped his arm off is he just a fake? Sitch apparently compares him to S-Class... Does he do anything else?

Genos’ firepower is far above Blue Fire’s, even when Genos was first introduced he could incinerate an entire city block with his cannons.

He must be very effective against Tigers. Like Genos, but significantly scaled down in terms of speed, strength, and firepower.
If Marshall Gorilla attacked a city, and suddenly a hero started firebending at him, I think Marshall Gorilla would be toast.

No. Heroes are allowed to use weapons, technology, whatever they like to actually accomplish the job of saving people and killing monsters. There's no purity of the human endeavour here. Just get the job done, any way you can.

he's just using a ranged weapon, no more different than death gatlin or golden ball.

Right, but no one knows that...everyone thought he was doing it magically or through special skill, hence Garou calling him out on it "Now your secret's out. Not cool, man!"
So while he might be a powerful fighter...he is A Class Rank 6...so I'm sure he doesn't rely on his flamethrower by itself, but he does seem to have kept it hidden.

well, we know that some of the heroes want to be popular and look cool to the citizens, probably he keeps it hidden cause real magic would be a lot cooler to the masses than a simple flamethrower.

Bonus points for a re used joke anyway. One can compare a pebble to boulders just as one can compare blue flame to the S class.

To be rank number 6 he should be pretty efficient at killing monsters. So he lies about his fire bending but he's a good fighter nonetheless.

He's still a legitimate fighter, he just acts like his fire is magic instead of technology, probably to intimidate criminals.
