ARE WE GREAT AGAIN?

ARE WE GREAT AGAIN?

Are we great again?
Children of tender ages,
torn from their parents
and sheltered in cages.

Are we great again?
In the hands of abductors,
orchestras cry out
for their missing conductors.

Are we great again?
As she lowers her flame,
the mother of exiles
forgets her foreign name.

Are we great again?
Or will greatness come back
when red white and blue
becomes red white and black?
