It’s summer now.
As a kid, everything was booked. It felt like every second should be spent trying to wring out enjoyment of my long, schooless days. That mindset would make my current experiences of summer sting so much more. I haven’t left my house in 6 days, and I’ve lost all hope of regaining any sense of time perception. I’ve lived exclusively nocturnally to avoid confrontation with my family, and it’s beginning to feel like I’m a prisoner in my own room, despite the fact that at any second of any day, I could walk out and do something. I’ve been on antidepressants for 4 months now, and I feel the exact same. I feel like each day has no distinction from the one before it, and that I’ll live out the same groundhog days until the abrupt ending in September where schooling begins.
