New PC please help
Specs:
i5-8400
gtx 1060 6gb
WD 1 TB Hard drive
Kingston 120gb SSD
8gbs Gskill V 3200 DDR4
MSI z370 A-pro MOBO
Everything else works fine, only issue is that my Hard drive will not show up in disk management at all, I cannot format it, there is no option in the BIOS to format it even though the BIOS Sees it in the system. I have been video chatting a buddy of mine who builds pc's and he doesn't know what is going on either.
We have reset BIOs, Updated it, swapped SATA Ports, swapped SATA cables, reset CMOS (cant remember if that's what its called)
Multiple restarts, it only shows up in devices on device management and the BIOS, but nowhere else! Windows OS was booted thru SSD.
Edit:
I seemed to have found a solution. Today I woke up and looked up Western Digital and was going to contact them about my issue, I saw an option on their website that was a diagnostic tool. I downloaded it and performed the Extended test that took about an hour and 40 minutes. Even after the test it was still saying that it passed and no issues were found, but it still wasnt showing up in my computer. I then restarted my system and checked again for the 50th time in disk management. Now it has been initialized and formatted and seems to be where it belongs and is operating. Thank you everyone that commented and offered help and thoughts. I greatly appreciate it.
