How to get PS4 controller working with N64 games?

I got RetroArch 1.7.3 installed on my console, and got the 8bitdo retro receiver to use my PS4 controller with N64 games. However, once I boot up the game, Retroarch doesn't receive any input from the analog sticks. How should I map them in order to use my controller properly?
