Any recommendations for a soon-to-be college freshman leaving her hometown for the first time EVER?

I'm the only one in my friend group leaving the state for college to go to the opposite side of the country and I want to read some books that kinda capture this goodbye/starting something new feeling. Haha I'm bracing myself for tears so please hit me with your best recs!

Notes:

-I'm not a big fan of YA authors

-Prefer book with less of romantic undertones and more abt personal growth

-will read/try ANY genre
