WTW, similar to gestalt, to help describe that an individual example of behavior reflects upwards towards a greater whole?

unsolved

Its a word I've seen before, but can't seem to remember. When I seen it, it was used to describe that the behavior/personality/actions of a selected person or group can also describe the way the bigger group they associate with acts or behaves. To go backward, if I was to use Conservative Republicans as an example, I could say Paleo-Conservative policies directly represent the views of a paleo-conservative individual. And to make a broader example, that the actions of certain individuals reflect upwards to follow a specific pattern e.g. The Hero's Journey. Keywords or phrases that come to mind are: Everything is cyclical, predictable, patterns, etc. To add: for whatever reason, and I may be wrong, but I feel it started with "B" -- but that may be wrong.
