Meshify C - External front fans

Build Help

Hi All

I'm in the process of working out a build and im torn between cases. If someone has a Meshify C could they give me some feedback please.

I'm either going with the Corsair 275R or the Meshify C. My preference is the Meshify C due to the better air performance, especially at the front.

Internally size wise I'm going with a GTX 1080 TI 11GB Strix and for the cooler a Corsair H150i Pro. Based on the research I've done AIOs work best when used as a front intake opposed a top exhaust (which both cases wont support).

The length of the 1080 and the depth of the fan/rad will not fit within the case if the fan/rad is internal.

I did see a build video bitwit did where he mounted 2x120 fans externally:

He also had to modify the case front panel to allow the fans to sit past the plastic:

To fit 3x120mm fans in I would need to remove more of the plastic, and it looks like there is a section which holds the badge on. I figure I can fix this on using some glue but really if someone has the case could they check if they think fitting the extra 120 fan would be workable?

Or could I stagger the fans, the top and bottom inside the case with the middle outside the case, there is no difference between push/pull on the fans.

Thanks
