Moving to Drogheda soon, need some advice
Hi everyone,
I recently got a job in Drogheda and I'll be moving there in almost a month. I'm used to living in Dublin but I have few questions about living in Drogheda which I hope some of you might be able to help with.
Accomodation
- Do you recommend getting an apartment there or find something outside and just go there for work?
- How easy is it to find people to share a place with? Quick look at rent.ie didn't look promising, I guess it's because of how small Drogheda is and that few people live there
Transportation
- Can I rely on Bus Eireaan for my daily commute to work if I'm planning to arrive there between 7 and 8 AM?
- If I lived within the city, is cycling a good option to go to work and move around? I think Drogheda is colder and gets more rain than Dublin which kind of makes it uncomfortable to ride a bicycle, especially that my job requires going to M1 Retail Park. Input on this from anyone who tried cycling there will definitely help.
- What about taxis there? In Dublin they're a big NO NO for daily transportation because of how expensive they're, is it also the case in Drogheda?
- How likely is it to find people around me would share an Uber or a taxi?
