"I'm here to offer you a unique opportunity. Someone with your unique skill set will be perfect in the position I need," I say as we slide into a booth at the bar. "I'm a traveling business man. Most of my clients are here in town, while my home is up north. What I need is someone like you to make my experience during my road trips a little bit more comfortable." I look to at an approaching couple that passes us before I continue. The waiter delivers our drinks then heads off.

"I've made inquires about you at the college. I have an old buddy who is one of your former professors. He told me about your problem of paying for school. He also told me you have been one of his best students. You came highly recommended." I take a sip of my drink.

"What I'm offering you a full ride through school; 100% including school fees, books, parking and a decent allowance on top of that. If there's anything else that should come up school related, that'd be covered as well. Also, I'll be paying for everything when we are together. You won't need to work while you go through school. I want you to take the opportunity to really study and work hard in your classes. Does that sound appealing?" I see you nod but not say anything. I take a breath and continue.

"In exchange, you'll be my partner during my travels here. You'll come to various social events, you'll go out to dinner with me and generally keep me company while in town. As I'm only in town a few days a month, it's very little work. I will expect from you at least a weekend of your time every month and scattered days for any one-off trips. As part of all social outing, I will provide all clothing you will need during the time. These social outings are part of my job and I need the right look and attitude from you." I pause for effect, keeping constant eye contact.

"I want you to seriously consider this opportunity. I won't take a yes or no right now. Look this contract over and give me a call tomorrow. I'll be in town if you need to talk more" I reach into my bag and pull out a several documents. I turn them towards you and slide it across the table. "Look it over tonight".

With my pitch made, I stand up, drop a $50 on the table. I put down my business card in front of you and walk out.
