Are there any inspirational stories of people who graduated with a CS degree, and their life got way better? I need cheesy inspiration.

I'm graduating soon and have a 2.5ish GPA. I'm in a pretty crappy family / economic situation, and have a dream that once I get working after college, I will be able to live on my own, have money, and life will get way better.

I'd like to read any story about this.
