Petition regarding temple sealings?

Has anyone started something like this - ala Sam Young & youth sex interviews? If not, I'm considering starting a petition to somehow make LDS sealings more inclusive. There are a number of ways this could be accomplished, whether it be by allowing civil ceremonies or (gasp!) allowing nonmembers to attend sealings.

Three questions:

1. has anyone already tried to do this? If so, I would rather support them then put myself out there 🙈. But. Willing to at this point.

2. what kind of traction do you think this could get? Am I just setting myself up for massive time suck and disappointment or is the pump primed for this discussion?

3. what do you think are the most compelling and rationale arguments to change this policy?
