Has Rookie mode been slightly nerfed or am I just noticing more because of the stat grind?

Not sure if I am crazy or not. But I feel like the CPU is pitching way better than they used to, and fielding has much improved as well. Offense seems about the same, though. Again, maybe I'm just noticing more because I'm excited to finish these Career Arc grinds.
