Spoilery Questions

So I'm in NG+ and I've been using the same build for as long as I can remember. I want to mix things up, but I'm running into problems and just want to brainstorm with you fine folks. Here's what I use:

Rex: Mythra Pandoria Rock

Nia: Dromarch Boreas Vess

Tora: All the Poppi forms

The problem I'm running into is that I'm a control freak and I don't want to rely on NPCs to do driver combos, so I keep using this build so Nia will break and I can do the rest with Rex. I want to try new things, so I tried using Zeke as my PC with blades that can do the topple-launch-smash but smash with a spear is SOOOOO SLOOOOW it's really hard to pull off the blade switch and smash in time. So I guess my question is, what do you guys use for driver combos? It kind of annoys me that I have to use Rex with Mythra/Roc and an Axe or Pandy, but it's the only reliable build I've found that's any good at all. Plus Mythra's recovery recharge ability is so OP it's insane. And the AI is really unreliable, so I just feel stuck. Any recommendations?

If it helps, I'm mostly looking for this to farm Relentless Arduran so I can get the last 5 or so blades I'm missing, as well as Tyrannotitan for chips.
