A thought regarding Korean culture and the Meteos situation (and NA?)

I have read a lot of people pointing out that meteos asked to be traded because he did not want to split time with Levi. Meteos has also came out to say how it’s an awkward situation training with the person that wants his job.

I’m not claiming to know what Meteos’ exact opinions are, but I feel as though this kind of behaviour is one of the major reasons NA is so inferior to Korea.

If we look at SKT for example, during one of Peanuts interviews (don’t remember which one), he said that the best motivation he had was knowing that Blank is waiting to play. Said that knowing someone is right there ready to replace you gave him much more pressure to perform than any other thing.

Compared to Meteos’ words (about awkwardness), you can really see the difference between wanting to excel and wanting to just play. Especially when he said something along the lines of how he’s not worried about being replaced because of the import rule (and not because he’s good/always improving etc.)

I’m just slightly surprised that I’ve not encountered many instances where I see someone express the same opinion here. My two cents, would love to hear what y’all gotta say.
