"That'll be all Biiii---"

Medium

Hey TFR, I love reading stories on here, and It's usually how I spend my smoke breaks if I'm not people watching! This is my first story, but I definitely have more if people are interested.

So I work at a gas station chain, and my particular store is a VERY busy one, as It's in the middle of nowhere between a few large cities near me. This leads to many interesting people coming and going. One particular guy, we'll call him ITG for "IT Guy", comes in very regularly, and is actually a really nice guy.

One day as I'm outside on break, browsing through this subreddit ironically, he comes outside and starts talking to me. This is our first conversation together, not including the prior transaction before my break. He is talking to me about news of all things, and mentions he part time writes a column for an IT magazine or something. I want to get into IT after college so I'm pretty interested to talk to him. Nothing much comes out of this interaction, but leads into the next.

A few days later, he comes into the store, and sets his items on the counter, as I do with every customer, I ask,

"Can I get you anything else today?"

His response was, to say the least, unexpected.

"Nope, that'll be all biiiiiitch."

And yes, he drew out the last word with varying pitches of his voice. I just stopped and looked up at him puzzled as I didn't really know how to respond. It didn't offend me in any way, I'm just a very laid back guy, but I was very much surprised none the less.

"Sorry, if I didn't know you I wouldn't have done that."

This was his attempt to mend the awkward silence afterwards. But he doesn't really know me, neither one of us (still to this day might I add) even knows the other's name. But I just laughed and moved on with my day.

Also, its too short to warrant a story, but this same guy a few days after that came in to our store and asked me if I wanted a bottle of cologne. He said he bought the wrong kind and was either going to give it to me or just throw it away. After looking it up it was a $100 bottle of cologne! It blew my mind, and I thanked him multiple times after that, and now I use it pretty regularly!
