Newbie with some questions

Hi fellow Stellarians ( or Lumeners? ) ,

I got into crypto since last November , needless to say it was a wild ride. Was too naive with trading the market so I sat through the entire bear market and see my paper profit evaporated day by day. That being said I still remain hopeful about the future of crypto and while I was studying about Ripple I came across Stellar. Read the website and got a basic sense of how things work with Stellar , and I have a couple questions.

1. Where are we now with the progress of Stellar? Do we have a working product yet , and are people using the network to send money to each other?

2. With crypto like Nano that promises feeless and close to instant transaction , in the future why would we still need Stellar?

3. Why did you invest on Stellar , and what makes you continue hodling your XLM to this day?
