Chimera fight is unintuitive
So I did each of the guardians a couple times yesterday. Every fight was quite easy to learn. First time doing each guardian (not yesterday, while ago), I died a couple times of course, but I knew what I did wrong and which move resulted in my death and what I had to do to fix it. Phoenix shows when he is going to do the flame explosion. Minotaur’s attacks are easy to dodge if you know which attack he’s going to do. Same thing for hydra.
Chimera is a different story. The phase where he goes up in a puff of smoke and just dashes at you is extremely unintuitive. I thought he just had a set amount of dashes and you just had to time well to dodge each dash, and then he’d be done in maybe 10 dashes or so. So I just dashed around the arena, then after a couple seconds he reappeared, I did another phase and so on. After a couple phases, though, he didn’t reappear. He’d dashed like 20 times and he still wasn’t back. This got extremely frustrating, and after dying 6 times I had to look the fight up. Chimera is the only fight I’ve had to look up in this game, and I read on the forum and on reddit that you had to dash into the smoke clouds, and when he’s in the one you dash into, he reappears. After I knew this he was a piece of cake. I just found it strange that shaper’s attacks are so incredibly telegraphed and easy to see coming, while chimera is incredibly unintuitive (to me at least, and there were a couple other guys on the forum and Reddit who apparently thought the same).
Anyway, this turned into a bit of a rant, but I’m just wondering if anyone thinks the same? Or am I just dumb for not getting the fight?
