connections in the bioinformatics market?

I'm interested in the bioinformatics market and want to learn about the connections or network from a macroscopic view. For example, Thermofisher and Illumina have a wide range of areas of interests, such as forensics in which they have developed many instruments that help with DNA sequencing/analysis which require reagents and consumables that they develop. If they provide full solutions to their clients, they probably also have LIMS/analysis software with database in the back end. There are also different techniques, ie Sanger sequencing, NGS, 3rd gen sequencing, microarray etc. They can profit by offering different segments of the solutions as well, ie. selling only the reagents.

This was just an example. There are many areas I want to explore, ie drugs, cancer, diagnostics and many more. I'm trying to draw a mindmap showing an overview with basic connections. Where can I find some useful information?
