How I became a bandwagon fan, jumping from other sport.
The first basketball team I ever knew was Chicago Bulls, because of His Airness MJ during my primary school years. But somehow I got distracted to football (soccer) just because of a hangman game with my friend when he decided to use 'Cantona' as a word for the game. I lost as I didn't know who the fuck this guy was, and also got laughed at for not knowing the name of the 'King' of Manchester United. That's also when I first came to know a football club.
As years went by, my memory of the Bulls faded and got replaced by Man United. The last thing I could remembered was the Bulls won a championship over the Jazz and I did not hear anything much ever since. Moreover, being in a country where football is super famous also helped to drown anything about other sports. However, for some reason, I did remember my cousin telling me about a kid named 'Lebron James' who was rumored to be better than Jordan, but I didn't bother to care.
Until 4-5 years ago, I decided to come back to basketball and my old friend, Chicago Bulls. Just in time for the final chapter of D. Rose in the Bulls jersey. The reason I ditched football was because of the increasing floppiness and dirty plays among players and the lack of technology usage to judge the game.
TL;DR How I become a bandwagon from basketball to football (soccer) and back to basketball.
