anybody w/ huge mental workload (studying, work, etc) on OMAD? How much do you eat? I need some advice
I’m 158 (5’1) and so far I’ve lost 11 kg (about 23 lbs) but since May I hit a plateau. I haven’t been able to go under 60kg, but recently I tried OMAD and this morning I saw 59.5kg. (genuinely happy) I had my single meal at night, usually a very generous portion (400-500g) of high-fat pork and lots of veggies. I thought I’d change it to morning meals from today.
The thing is I am a professional translator and my work is basically memorizing what a person has said and translating it almost right away (in 20s-5m fragments). This takes up so much mental energy and is super tiring. On some days I only work for three hours.
Before OMAD I found keto helps so much with my concentration and memory. But with OMAD I feel like my energy is being sapped.
What happened today was... So for example I usually have pork and veggies for my one dinner, but I wanted to eat in the morning from today. But then this morning I overslept and fried up four eggs with 50g of butter, which I thought was pretty fatty. (didn’t have time to thaw my pork) But then at work I almost fainted from hunger. I never have had that problem before.
I really want to continue OMAD because I had such a tough time breaking my plateau.
Is it a bad idea to try OMAD with a huge mental workload? or did I just not eat enough today? Any med or law student successfully on OMAD? How much do you eat, especially when sometimes that meal mostly consists of eggs?
My point is, before keto four eggs made me feel like a champ. Should have kept me full until lunch. Even if I were to sneak in another meal around dinner, I shouldn’t have been that hungry.. or not? I’ve never felt this way before.
