Quit drinking in support of my wife

My wife has been a solid drinker most of her life.

Lately with our responsibilities growing (kids, own business, other stuff) it got worse to the point that she would start drinking around 14:00 and on most days would finish at least 2 bottles of wine.

It got to the point that it started to affect our relationship.

I don't think I'm an alcoholic myself, but do have a habit to drink on a regular basis.

4 weeks ago she decided to quit altogether again and I'm hopeful that it will stick this time. It has to if she is to survive physically and mentally.

So I'm joining her and won't drink anymore, this way the house is clean and she won't be confronted with the stuff here.

I really don't think it is possible to quit while being an alcoholic without the full support of your loved ones. I compliment her and tell her I'm really proud. I grew up with an alcoholic mother and I'm so f*ing happy our kids don't have to.
