My family is pretty cool

RAVE

Since stumbling upon this sub, I realized that though my family is rather dysfunctional, they are incredibly supportive of my not having children. My oldest cousin, who has 6 children she really shouldn’t have, always says, “that’s right, u/IslandOfTheShips, don’t have children. Enjoy your life.”

Or when I realized I’m the only one of my cousins without kids. I mentioned that to my friends, they are like, “so you’re next?” But when I mentioned it to my mom she was like, “so what?”

It’s so nice to have that kind of support. They realize how much kids can affect a person financially or otherwise and I’m thankful for the “you do you, boo” attitude.
