Budgeting and using my money effectively

So im a young man who recently got into a motorcycle accident on NYE 2017. Had serious injuries and will be receiving money from my lawsuit. The problem i have now is ive had to leave my old job because of my injuries and to attend physical therapy/countless DR visits. i had to move back in with my family and now im starting to feel better. I want to get back to work and be independent again but that job is no longer available for me. I dont want to be put in a situation where i cannot afford my expenses and i also dont want to blow through my lawsuit money. Kinda confused as what to do next.
