Help This Dumb American's NZ Itinerary!

Travel

Hey Kiwi guys and gals! I'm another dumb American coming to visit your beautiful country for the first time. I've researched as much as possible and put together what I believe should be a good itinerary for my wife and me. But, I trust random internet strangers way more than I should, so here's a chance for you guys to make or ruin my vacation!

I'll be flying from Atlanta Georgia, stopping in LA and Fiji (just quick layovers, award travel), so I'm expecting to be pretty tired, especially since I've never traveled internationally before. Here we go, open to any tips or suggestions you may have!

Nov 22 - land in Christchurch at 1:30pm, take rest of day to relax, maybe see some of city (I've heard not the most exciting place for travelers?)

Nov 23 - TranzAlpine in the AM to Greymouth, check out Greymouth / drive to Franz Josef or Fox Glacier area at some point

Nov 24 - Franz (or Fox?) Heli-Hike in the AM, maybe ATV or something in the afternoon, maybe just relax?

Nov 25 - Skydive Fox Glacier in the AM, then long ish drive to Queenstown. Maybe Fergburger for dinner? As good as I've read or overrated?

Nov 26 - Explore Queenstown, maybe check out Glenorchy, drive to Te Anau in time for night glowworm cave tour

Nov 27 - Milford Sound Cruise, back to Queenstown after (I realize will be a long day)

Nov 28 - Shotover Jet in the AM, whitewater rafting in the afternoon

Nov 29 - early flight to Auckland, check out maybe one of the black sand beaches and explore Auckland?

Nov 30 - maybe Rangitoto and explore the city?

Dec 1 - Fly out of Auckland early

Let me know if you have any thoughts or think I'm trying to cram too much in! Or if there are any local hidden gems. Any other can't miss things? I wish I had more time for this trip! All drives will be with a rental car and my wife and I can both drive. Thanks!
