argument with waifu about which country is the most hard-working

So my j-gf and I are watching some shitty youtube video about "things that are weird about America" or some shit, and one of the entries is "lack of vacation time". This gets me started on how Americans get plenty of vacation time, we just don't get as much as the lazy Euros. We get something like 20 days per year and Euros get 30+, but we get paid higher salaries for the same occupations to balance it out.

Then she gets started in on how the Japanese are the hardest working, and I was like "bitch, please, just because Japanese people have no life and sit around the office all day bullshitting doesn't make them hard workers. how much of a 'hard-worker' you are depends on how much work you get done, which is called PRODUCTIVITY, not how many hours you sit in the office trying to balance a sandwich on your rabbit's head."

At this point she is starting to get offended even though she has told me dozens of stories about how lazy as fuck all her coworkers are, and how much time they waste dicking around. There is exactly 1 guy who works seriously in her office, and he is Korean. The rest act like government employee stereotypes.

So I start pulling up productivity statistics, and of course Japan is waaaaay down the list. She's like "well, if something needs to be done on the weekend, Japanese people will just do it, while the Americans will ignore you until Monday" and I'm like "yes, but having no life and no boundaries doesn't make you a HARD worker. being willing to have no life outside of work doesn't matter when people just move their social/personal lives into the office and start wasting a bunch of time not working while inside the office."

Eventually she's like "well, all these bad numbers are explained by all the worthless old people leftovers we are stuck with who couldn't be fired and yet sit around the office not doing much" then we end up talking about one of her ojisan coworkers who forwards around 200 emails per day but basically does nothing else, and stays in the office 14+ hours per day. He's basically the japanese version of this. Anyway after this she started doing cutesy shit to distract me and I forget what happened.
