Flowable silicone

So I got my G2 warthog in the mail last week Monday and I have exclusively played with it. I initially put on polyester string and had nice tight binds. Then on Sunday I played with a nylon string all day long. Will a nylon string tear up flowable silicone to the point of needing to replace it. I ask because I switch back to a polyester string on Monday and it hasn’t been the same.
