How to form Hispania with 1066 start ?

I'm having a lot of trouble getting started as one of the three brothers. I can't go to war because I go bankrupt from the 16 ducats army cost. I've tried allying with the HRE but his army ended up getting wiped by a 16K Muslim Doomstack. I'm not sure how to approach this.
