keyboard not working(mostly) on linux build 0.21.1?

I'm using gallium os(ubuntu based) on a chromebook pixel 2013. After finished installing the game from package repository. I found that the letter area (a-z) not working in game. Then I also found the letter keys only work when pressing l-alt key. This happens in tile version. ASCII version not affected.

Really weird issue. Is there anyone happend to this?
