Roads Well-traveled

Hi, this is my first time posting. Actually my first time over writing poetry for someone else to read. I am self taught and have not learned much on technique.

Please let me know what you think and give me any corrections or advice for future poems.

Roads I’ve been down a thousand times, mind lost in thoughts.

My body gliding over every turn. Effortlessly maneuvering down each curve. The smells intoxicating. The sounds ever consuming.

Knowing when to pause and when to thrust ahead. The road slick with anticipation, hot with Summer’s passion.

We become one, engulfed with the serenity that is comfort and perfection.

Your intimacy, forever ingrained into me.
