The Life of a Squirrel
The Life of a Squirrel
Squirrels have it easy living high in the trees
They never had to learn math, science, or the ABC’s
A squirrels only mission is to play and have fun
And maybe eat nuts and bask in the sun
Squirrels don’t wallow, weep, or morn
Nor do they ask: “Why was I born?”
The squirrels I know they don’t cry or pout
They don't get sad or have self doubt
A squirrel spends time to dance and sing
They celebrate life and have picnics in spring
Squirrels are happy to visit new places
And they’re always excited for new squirrel faces
Perhaps if we learn from our squirrel friends
Then maybe we’ll see life through a different lens
Being happy, being grateful, and not being sad
Really does make life seem like it's not half bad
