Fun Doesn't Hold Up in Court
What's the point of building up a hospital,
If they wont let you burn it to the ground?
There's nothing in this world like half a tank of gasoline.
If you're the one with a lighter.
I know just what I'll say,
When they throw away the key.
"You have no idea how fun that was for me"
"Fun doesn't hold up in court."
Thats what they'll tell me.
Before they put me in a cage.
"It's just about the shittiest defense."
And so away I will go to a prison in the south.
Only my chains will hear me out.
And I'll say.
"Beauty in this world is meaningless"
"Theres nothing good in life I can justify"
"A painting worth its salt will never set me free"
"Beauty is never going to get me out alive"
"And love has killed so many more, than hate ever will"
"Just ask the Trojans and the Greeks"
"They'll tell you once again what you already know"
"It poisons, cuts, burns, stabs, and bleeds"
I guess I gotta give it to, you were right
Fun won't get called up to the stand.
But if to have these things I must be locked away.
I'll take the bars as friends if I can.
